Help
Welcome to the IS Labs help page. We’ve created a series of frequently asked questions that should help you with your is experience. If you’ve got some extra questions, mail them to us.
What is the point of IS Labs?
Check out the about section to learn more about the IS Labs initiative.
How do I get started?
First of all, you will need to create an account. You will only need to supply a user name and a valid e-mail address. Type in the CAPTCHA, agree to the terms and conditions, and click on the ‘create new account’ button.
How do I submit an idea?
First step is to click on the ‘Submit an idea’ button. Give your idea a title (try keep it under 10 words), make sure it captures the general gist of the idea you are trying to put across. Fill in the summary of the idea, the mark it as either public or private.
Private or public?
Remember, there are two ways of submitting your ideas, either as public or as private. To submit a private idea, make sure you check the ‘Private’ checkbox on the idea submission page.
Whats the difference between public and private?
Private ideas are ideas that you do not want to share with the general public. Perhaps its something personal that you are working on and you need help from IS, perhaps it is a business idea that you want to profit from.
Public ideas are ideas that you want to share with your community. Perhaps its just an idea that will help alleviate certain day-to-day issues we encounter on the net.
What happens to my ideas?
Each idea is carefully reviewed by a team of highly qualified and professional IS gurus. The team will be in touch, either through commenting on your idea, or contacting you directly.
Do I need to do any groundwork?
That is really up to you. Obviously you need to keep your ideas within the realm of what’s physically possible, so that might require some research. What we are really looking for is well thought out ideas, so if you have a business plan, research, or have a well drawn out proposal, then definitely post it.
